We're seeking highly skilled, hands on Machine Learning Engineers to join our team on a contract basis in Greece or UK. You'll work on cutting-edge AI/ML projects, helping our clients build scalable, production-ready models that drive real business impact.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models for real-world applications
  • Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and product teams to define project goals
  • Implement MLOps best practices for model versioning, deployment, and monitoring
  • Optimise model performance and scalability across cloud environments
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest ML research and tools

Requirements

  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to talk things simple to business users.
  • Proven hands on experience in ML engineering (3+ years preferred)
  • Strong Python skills and familiarity with ML libraries (e.g., TensorFlow)
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines and model lifecycle management
  • Familiarity with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD workflows.
  • Must have a relevant certification, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, Google Cloud Professional Machine Learning Engineer, AWS Certified Machine Learning – Specialty
  • Proven experience on deploying and monitoring machine learning models in production environments, ensuring high performance and reliability.
  • Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and Vision Language Models (VLMs) into existing applications to enhance functionality and create new AI-enhanced features.
  • Develop and implement Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) systems for knowledge-intensive applications.
  • Design and build LLM-based AI agents for automation, customer support, and other interactive applications.
  • Experiment with and evaluate different LLM techniques, including fine-tuning, prompt engineering, and embedding generation.
  • Excellent verbal and written English (Greek are nice to have)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with generative AI, NLP, or deep learning
  • Knowledge of MLOps tools like MLflow, Kubeflow, or SageMaker
  • Prior work with consulting firms or enterprise-scale ML projects

Contract Details

Start Date: Immediate

Duration: 6-12 months (extensions are very likely)

IR35 Status: Outside IR35 (for UK contractors)

Location: UK-based (Remote with occasional travels to Athens, Greece), or Athens, Greece (hybrid)
