Our Deloitte Central Mediterranean practice (Greece, Italy, Malta) hosts our Salesforce Commerce Cloud and Magento/Adobe Commerce competence center. We are growing the pipeline of Italian based clients; thus, we are expanding to support international collaboration opportunities within Deloitte member firms across EMEA.

We are looking for a
Shopify Web Developer
in
Thessaloniki
. You will have the chance to participate to important international projects becoming part of a growing, international network. You will be part of a project delivery team, with colleagues in Greece but as well as members of other international offices, including Italy. Delivering front and / or back-end development tasks, as part of an Agile Scrum team. The projects will focus on the delivery of the Shopify platform (Liquid, Hydrogen, Headless).

For a full coverage of your role, you ought to be able to:

• Work collaboratively with local and remote team members as part of an Agile delivery team.
• Understand functional documentation (user stories) and be able to translate these into technical solutions.
• Learn the Shopify platform development and solution design.
• Implement functional and technical solutions.
• Improve your technical skills in: HTML5, CSS3/SASS, JavaScript/React, NodeJS, REST API, GraphQL, Git.
• Perform Testing and Verification (unit, system, integration, and acceptance).
• Ensure the resolution of complex incidents.
• Problem management (bug, updates failures) and propose technical solutions.
• Guarantee the quality of services as requested by our clients and act accordingly to ensure SLA fulfilment.

Key Qualifications

To qualify for the role, you must have:

• Degree related to Computer Engineering, Information Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology.
• 1-2 years of professional experience on the Shopify platform.
• Excellent knowledge of English and strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously but also within a team, high motivation for consulting field and analytical and problem-solving attitude.
• Proficiency in front-end languages such as JavaScript (ES6+) with a strong focus on and its core principles.
• Experience with popular workflows.
• Experience with modern styling frameworks and component libraries such as Tailwind CSS, Material UI (MUI) or Chakra UI.
• Knowledge of modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handling.
• Ability to write efficient, secure, and clean code.
• Knowledge the Client-Server model, especially Browser-Web Server interactions.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in teams.
• Flexibility and strong motivation to work in the fast-paced consulting field.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new technologies quickly.
• Availability to travel.

Bonus Qualifications

• Academic or professional hands-on experience in Web Application development.
• Knowledge of the main performance analysis tools.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Experience in creating eCommerce projects.
• Experience and background on UI/UX and Figma.
