LMW is currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our dynamic and fast-paced team. The role will be based at the company's headquarters in Athens.

The ideal candidate will support our accounting department with day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Responsibilities

  •  Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports
  •  Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  •  Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts
  •  Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes
  •  Prepare and process invoices and expense reports
  •  Assist in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
  •  Support month-end and year-end close processes
  •  Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards
  •  Assist with internal and external audits
  •  Provide support to senior accountants and finance team members
  •  Analyze financial data and identify discrepancies
  •  Assist in the preparation of tax returns and filings
  •  Maintain confidentiality of financial information
  •  Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
  •  Participate in special projects and initiatives as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (and/or Master's) degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in an Accounting Office
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal
