ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Junior Accountant, you will assist in the daily financial operations of the company, including the recording of transactions, basic reconciliations, and invoice handling. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accuracy and support in maintaining up-to-date financial records.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in accurately recording and updating daily financial transactions in the accounting system under supervision.
  • Support the processing and basic reconciliation of purchase invoices (suppliers ledger) and sales invoices (customer ledger).
  • Assist with organizing and filing invoice documentation.
  • Assist in preparing payment requests to suppliers and government authorities.
  • Ensure proper record-keeping of payment-related documents.
  • Provide basic support in communicating with suppliers regarding simple financial queries.
  • Escalate any discrepancies to the senior accounting team for resolution.

KNOWLEGDE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Up to 1–2 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance.
  • LCCI Intermediate or Higher Diploma in Accounting, or a related academic qualification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Good knowledge of Sage or NetSuite will be considered as advantage.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Strong interest in building customer service and communication skills, with a willingness to learn negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both Greek and English.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks.
