Job Description

  • Job Title: Cyber Security Officer
  • Reports to: IT Officer
  • Location: Athens - GR

Job Summary:
Undertakes a range of analysis, reporting, governance and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of business operations and reporting for Cyber Security of the Company, in line with established policies, procedures and relevant legislation and ISO standards.

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve cyber security policies, procedures and best practices and enforce them by implementing technical solutions and controls when necessary
  • Monitor systems for anomalies, unauthorized access, or other suspicious activities
  • Manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, endpoint protection, and SIEM tools
  • Identify, interpret and analyze data to produce timely and actionable reports, visualizations and recommendations to the Company to minimize cyber security risks
  • Oversee patch management and vulnerability assessments
  • Coordinate penetration tests and security audits
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current threats and vulnerabilities
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS). Provide administrative support to meet business needs

Requirements
*Qualifications*

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience of at least 3 years in a similar role. Exposure to the Shipping industry will be considered an asset
  • Excellent knowledge of English language
  • Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and software
  • Understand and apply effective planning, coordination and control methods
  • Familiarity with security protocols and data protection
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Display resilience and commitment to change
  • Demonstrate accountability and adhere to legislation
  • Strong interpersonal skills, team player, self-driven, organized, proactive
  • Able to translate business needs into technical specifications
