Junior Sales Engineer — Food Processing & Packaging Equipment

Company: YOUR COMPANY

• Reports to: Sales Manager

About the role

We help food manufacturers (meat, poultry, fish, vegetables, high thixotropic food ) improve throughput, yield, hygiene, and packaging. As a Junior Sales Engineer, you'll combine engineering know-how with consultative selling—visiting plants, understanding needs, and shaping equipment solutions with our OEM partners.

What you'll do

· Visit customer sites to run discovery and site surveys (flows, utilities, constraints).

· Prepare layouts, option comparisons, and technical proposals/URS with pricing.

· Build simple ROI/payback models and present business cases.

· Coordinate FAT/SAT, delivery, and commissioning with vendors and customers.

· Maintain pipeline and activities in CRM; forecast accurately.

· Lead demos/trials and train operators on basic use & care.

· Represent the company at trade shows and customer events.

What you bring

· Degree in Food, Mechanical, Chemical, Agricultural or Industrial Engineering (or similar).

· Knowledge of unit operations (mixing, forming, frying/oven, chilling/freezing, conveyors) and hygienic design basics (EHEDG/3-A).

· Comfort with Excel (lookups, pivots, charts); bonus: Power BI or basic Python.

· Clear communicator in Greek & English (technical email and short presentations).

· Organized, curious, ethical; willing to travel and work in factory environments (PPE).

· Valid driver's license.

Nice to have

· Exposure to HACCP / ISO 22000 / FSSC 22000, CE/Machinery, ATEX.

· Familiarity with MAP/vacuum packaging and film/barrier basics.

· PLC/HMI awareness, VFDs, sensors (no programming required).

· Experience from internships, thesis, or part-time roles in food plants.
