Account Director - Sales
to join the SWOT Headquarters Sales Team based in Athens to monitor market trends, optimize pricing and distribution, and collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to achieve commercial objectives.

Job Overview
The
Account Director - Sales
will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy to position the Ionion Hotels as leading destinations within the Mediterranean market. This role focuses on building and nurturing key relationships, optimizing market presence, and driving revenue growth across leisure & group segments while ensuring consistency with SWOT Hospitality's strategic objectives. The position requires a results-driven professional with strong leadership, networking, and negotiation skills, and a deep understanding of both domestic and international travel markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an integrated sales strategy for the Ionion Hotels cluster, aligned with Swot Hospitality's overall commercial direction.
  • Manage key accounts and establish long-term partnerships with tour operators, travel agencies, corporate clients, and consortia.
  • Identify new business opportunities across leisure, MICE, and corporate segments.
  • Lead annual contracting and rate negotiations with partners.
  • Monitor performance, analyze market trends, and recommend tactical actions to maximize revenue.
  • Collaborate closely with each property's General Manager and Revenue teams to ensure strategy alignment.
  • Represent the Ionion Hotels and Swot Hospitality at major trade shows, sales missions, and networking events.
  • Support the pre-opening sales strategy for any new properties in the Ionion region.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and motivation to on-site sales executives and teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, or related field (Master's degree a plus).
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in hotel sales, including at least 3 years in a leadership or cluster role.
  • Proven track record in managing key accounts and driving revenue within the luxury or upscale hospitality segment.
  • Strong network within European leisure and wholesale markets.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Strategic thinker with an analytical mindset and high commercial acumen.
  • Experience with international hotel brands (Hyatt, Accor, Marriott, etc.) is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English; Greek and other languages are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel frequently between Zakynthos, Kefalonia, and Corfu.
