We are currently seeking for a Client Relationship Officer to join our Network Department. In this role, the ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and reviewing customer transactions to ensure they align with clients' KYC profiles, as well as adhering to regulatory and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) standards. Furthermore, the Client Relationship Officer will collaborate with the Relationship Manager to address customer needs, ensuring consistent communication with clients and relaying pertinent information to the Bank to enable effective service delivery and risk management.

Beyond compliance-related responsibilities and assisting the Relationship Manager, the role holder will manage a range of essential tasks that promote the seamless functioning of client relationships and internal processes.

These tasks may include:

  • Documentation Management: Ensuring that all client documentation is thorough, current, and accurately filed in accordance with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Transaction Monitoring and Alerts Handling: Detecting unusual or suspicious transactions and reporting them to the Compliance or AML teams.
  • Client Onboarding Support: Aiding in the onboarding process by collecting necessary documents, conducting initial due diligence, and coordinating with relevant departments.
  • Periodic KYC Reviews: Assisting the Relationship Manager in the timely review and update of KYC files, ensuring accuracy and prompt submission.
  • Internal Coordination: Communicating with internal departments such as Compliance, Legal, Credit, and Operations to effectively address client requests and resolve issues.
  • Client Queries and Day-to-Day Requests: Managing routine client inquiries and requests (e.g., account statements, payment instructions, confirmations, time deposits) in coordination with other teams.
  • Preparation of Reports: Helping in the development of internal reports concerning client activity, risk exposure, and compliance status.
  • Support in Credit Processes: Assisting with the preparation and follow-up of credit proposals, documentation, and covenant monitoring.
  • Regulatory Reporting Support: Assisting the Relationship Manager and Compliance team in gathering data required for regulatory reports.

Requirements

  • Degree in a Business-related field.
  • Client handling experience in the Banking Services sector. Experience in the Shipping industry will be considered as an advantage.
  • Fluency in English (both written and verbal).
  • Strong computer literacy (MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Critical and analytical thinking.
  • Stress resilient approach to work.
  • Desirable interpersonal skills: teamwork, communication, positive attitude, accountability.
