Project Development & Operations Director

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Project Development & Operations Director to lead the development and launch of major new strategic initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to shape high-impact, cross-functional projects from concept to execution, working at the intersection of innovation, content, operations, and commercial growth.

As Project Development & Operations Director, you will oversee the full development lifecycle -from concept to execution- coordinating a broad range of stakeholders to deliver innovative and operationally excellent results. You will collaborate with a variety of experts, including consultants, advisors, contractors, developers, and industry experts, to ensure smooth execution and impactful results.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Ownership & Execution:
  • Lead the end-to-end project management of the new initiative's launch, including planning, budgeting, timeline development and day-to-day execution
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders, including internal teams and external partners, to ensure smooth project flow, timely delivery & quality standards
• Experience & Content Integration:
  • Collaborate with entertainment, media, and design experts to shape compelling content and immersive experiences that align with the projects' strategic goals
  • Oversee the technical and experiential integration of all core components
• Team Building & Leadership:
  • Recruit and manage key team members across operational, technical, and creative roles
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performance culture throughout the project lifecycle
• Financial & Commercial Planning
  • Develop and maintain a robust business plan, including full P&L oversight, pricing strategy, CAPEX/OPEX planning, and forecasting
  • Define and launch ancillary revenue streams (e.g. retail, food & beverage, event activations)
  • Market & competition mapping
  • Work closely with the commercial team to identify and secure additional revenue streams through partnerships, sponsorships, and other initiatives
•  Marketing & Brand Strategy:
  • Partner with the marketing team to design and implement a compelling marketing and communications strategy
  • Create and shape the brand identity in alignment with the project's vision and target audience
• Risk, Compliance & Operational Excellence:
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle
  • Identify potential risks early and implement mitigation plans
  • Maintain focus on exceptional user experience and operational efficiency post-launch

Requirements

• A BSc in Business Administration, Management, Finance, Engineering, or a related field is required. An MSc in Business-related fields (e.g. MBA) is a strong plus
• Minimum 8–10 years of experience managing complex, high-value, multi-stakeholder projects across sectors such as hospitality, entertainment, cultural infrastructure, or experiential developments
• Proven track record in end-to-end project delivery: from feasibility and planning through execution, launch, and post-launch operations
• Strong command of project management methodologies and tools (e.g. Agile, PMI, Prince2)
• Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams
• Strong financial & commercial acumen
• Problem-solving mindset: Proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable navigating obstacles without clear patterns
• Strategic thinking: Ability to see the big picture while managing intricate project details
