Team Leader, Operations Department

For our Operations dpt. in Marine Tours, we are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and talented individual who will use their expertise to improve the way we work and drive personal and team performance in their area of responsibility. Your Role

You will coordinate a highly motivated team of travel management consultants to exceed customer expectations and deliver exceptional results. Ensure the smooth operation of the department and be the safeguard of the company's policies and culture. The position reports to the Group Operations Director.

Your Responsibilities

  • You will be primarily responsible for coordinating the Operations Team activities, role model exceptional customer service, drive personal and team KPIs and inspire a positive team environment
  • Create an exceptionally skilled team by attending to their individual training needs and encourage a best-in-class attitude towards all process and procedures
  • You will be the point of reference for any troubleshooting, and you are expected to handle internal and external customer issues
  • Promote personal accountability that delivers premium value and drives results
  • Provide instant feedback and review ways of working regularly to ensure best possible approach
  • Foster excellent relationships with other team leaders in order to secure cross departmental efficiencies
  • You are expected to maintain high standards and drive positive results in employee, customer and shareholder satisfaction

Your Profile

  • Tourism, Hospitality or Business studies at degree level
  • Minimum 5 years travel industry experience required and at least 2 years in a similar position
  • Proven leadership skills  and supervisory experience
  • Strong know-how of GDS (Galileo, Amadeus, Sabre, Forth CRS) and other reservation systems (air tickets, hotels, cars and sea transfers)
  • Excellent user of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Excellent coaching and developing skills
  • Sound analytical/reporting capability
  • Good procedures and policies writing skills
  • First-rate written and verbal communication in Greek and English language
  • Ability to set and achieve business goals and objectives
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to successfully resolve customer issues
  • Ability to lead change and work effectively under pressure
  • Ability to interface and develop strong relationships with both customers and employees
