Job Title: Senior Accounting Manager

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Accounting Manager to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of our company. As a senior member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the team, ensuring accuracy and integrity across all accounting functions.

  • Supervise, organize, and monitor daily activities of the accounting department.
  • Ensure accuracy and timely completion of accounting entries, complying with Greek Accounting Standards and international accounting standards where applicable.
  • Monitor and manage tax compliance, including VAT-INTRASTAT-VIES, ΦΜΥ, and withheld taxes, for both domestic and international transactions.

As a seasoned accounting professional, you will possess a deep understanding of accounting principles and regulations, as well as experience with accounting software and ERP systems. You will also have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising and organizing the daily activities of the accounting department.
  • Ensuring accuracy and timely completion of accounting entries.
  • Monitoring and managing tax compliance.
  • Overseeing proper documentation and registration of transaction documents and invoices.
  • Verifying monthly balances and supervising commercial-accounting and warehouse agreements processes.
  • Managing month-end and year-end closing processes for both domestic and international operations.
  • Participating in and overseeing the preparation of annual financial statements, including consolidated statements for group entities.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree or ACCA/CIMA certifications are desirable.
  • A' class accountant license and excellent knowledge of legal entities taxation.
  • Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar role, with at least 10 years' experience in a large company (100+ employees) with multinational commercial operations.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, tax laws, and fiscal practices in both Greece and internationally.
  • Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Office tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in both Greek and English, both written and verbal.
