IT Security Specialist

The Motorway Operation Services Business Unit of Gek TERNA Group is currently seeking a seasoned Security Engineer to join our dynamic team.

This key role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth operation of IT security systems and implementing policies and procedures for Cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor all IT security infrastructure and systems issues, identifying potential vulnerabilities and addressing them promptly.
• Evaluate weaknesses, threats, and risks concerning the information systems infrastructure, analyzing their impact and suggesting suitable countermeasures.
• Manage the existing security infrastructure (Firewalls, IDS/IPS, antivirus, EDR, etc.), collaborating with Security Operations Centers, reviewing their monthly reports.
• Perform security updates on operating systems, applications, and devices, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing security risks.
• Conduct regular assessments of the existing security framework, suggesting improvements and enhancements as needed.
• Collaborate with software development teams, infrastructure suppliers, and application/product providers on a technical level, verifying their compliance with the scope of responsibilities.
• Participate in the development of corporate Information Security and Cybersecurity projects and applications, driving innovation and growth.
• Stay updated on advancements in Cybersecurity, sharing knowledge and best practices with the team.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Master's degree with a specialization in information systems security, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of previous work experience in the field of information security / cybersecurity and managing-maintaining cybersecurity products.
• Certifications in information security products such as Cisco, Checkpoint, Fortinet.
• Professional certifications related to information security / cybersecurity (e.g. CCNP Security, ISO 27001 LA, CISSP, GIAC).
