The company has a gas-weighted portfolio of approximately 70%, with over 1,200 million barrels of oil equivalent (MMboe) 2P reserves and 2C resources. Our flagship development assets are the multi-tcf Karish, Karish North, and Tanin gas fields, located offshore Israel.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Data Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team in Athens. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, gathering, and interpreting technical, financial, and economic data for financial analysis used for strategic decision-making.

The role involves working closely with all levels of seniority within the Finance, Commercial, and Technical functions of Energean. Key accountabilities include:

  • Preparing financial models using historical data and providing forecasts based on various metrics.
  • Conducting economic analysis for existing and new oil and gas projects across our areas of operations.
  • Analyzing financial metrics in specific projects, including revenue, profitability, cost, etc.
  • Applying sensitivity and scenario analysis to support investment decisions.
  • Assisting in the preparation of Management, Board of Directors, or external stakeholder presentations.
  • Researching industry trends and analyzing economic factors such as inflation, foreign exchange, and commodity prices.
  • Supporting credit processes, loan monitoring, and reporting for Lenders and Banks.
  • Supporting debt raising activities, including company presentations, financial modeling, due diligence, and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek language skills, both written and verbal communication.
  • Computer literacy and experience with MS Office suite of applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical skills, with emphasis on accuracy and detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an international team.
  • Strong drive, enthusiasm, and a 'can-do' attitude.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth in a dynamic environment.
