As part of its development, Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and seeks an Energy Market Trader.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Monitor European energy markets and describe market dynamics.
  • Use existing analytic and forecasting tools and develop new ones.
  • Trade energy across European markets.
  • Contribute to the development of trading strategies and tools.
  • Optimize current data visualization applications and build new ones.
  • Prepare and deliver periodic and ad-hoc reports.
  • Prepare and deliver PnL and KPI reports.
  • Monitor European energy market regulatory framework updates.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or Engineering.
  • Previous professional experience in energy markets trading/analysis will be considered an asset.
  • Background in data analysis and machine learning techniques will be considered a plus.
  • Programming and database skills, preferably in Python and SQL.
  • Fluency in English, both written and oral.

  • Decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills.
  • Interest in commodities' markets and price formation of power and gas markets.
