Marine Engineer – Design and Approval Specialist

As a Machinery and Safety Plan Approval Engineer, you will have the exciting opportunity to join our team of experts responsible for reviewing and approving the design of various vessels. • Review and approve ship drawings with a focus on machinery, safety, and environmental aspects.
• Assess design drawings, particularly piping systems, propulsion installations, and compliance with international regulations.
• Provide technical support and guidance to clients on machinery design, installation, and safety systems.
• Evaluate risk assessments and safety studies for complex marine systems.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical issues and improve plan approval processes.

• Degree in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ship machinery systems, preferably in a classification society or shipyard environment.
• In-depth knowledge of marine propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery, and safety equipment.
• Familiarity with international maritime regulations (SOLAS, MARPOL, etc.) and classification society rules.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong time management skills and capacity to meet strict deadlines.
