Marketing Communication Specialist

Marketing Communication Specialist sought for leading company in Athens distribution sector.

Key responsibilities include analysing market trends, creating marketing plans, managing budget, and producing marketing materials.

Job requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.

Oral and written fluency in Greek and English required, as well as knowledge of MS Office suite and social media management software.

Experience with Mailchimp and graphic design skills a plus.

Ability to travel and work with external providers necessary.

Proven ability to function as part of a team and work with all levels of the organization.

Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational skills required.

Key qualifications include Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, or related field, and knowledge of emerging platforms and innovative methods of storytelling and engagement.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analysing market trends, competitors' activities, and customer behaviour to create strategies and marketing plans
  • Assisting in creating a Marketing Communication strategy and organizing its implementation
  • Managing budget assigned to marketing, as agreed with management
  • Helping the creative team produce marketing and promotional materials, in both print and electronic form
  • Assisting with website and intranet maintenance
  • Managing social media platforms and following up on requests
  • Designing and launching email marketing campaigns using platforms like Mailchimp
  • Researching media coverage and industry trends
  • Preparing briefing materials
  • Coordinating conferences, trade shows, and press interviews as needed
  • Communicating with customers regarding promotional offers and marketing materials for planned promotions
  • Working together with the sales team to increase product sales and market share
  • Developing a marketing calendar of activities
  • Working with colleagues across multiple departments and countries
  • Producing weekly and monthly activity reports
  • Working with external providers, such as graphic designers, printing houses, publishers, conference organizers, etc.
  • Providing administrative support to the department, but not limited to, coordinating the tracking and reporting on marketing, communication, and business development activities
  • Translation and localization of marketing and promotional material

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of relevant professional work experience
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong work ethic
  • Proactive and willing to help
  • Demonstrated strict attention to detail
  • Ability and willingness to work with all levels of the organization
  • Proven ability to function as part of a team
  • Ability to work independently and perform under tight deadlines
  • Oral and written fluency in Greek and English required
  • Good knowledge of MS Office suite including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Attention to detail and a commercially-oriented mind are necessary
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in communications, marketing, business, or related field
  • Knowledge of emerging platforms and innovative methods of storytelling and engagement, including but not limited to social media
  • Excellent writing, editing, research, and organizational skills
  • Experience working with social media management software
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks
  • Basic graphic design skills are a plus
  • Experience with Mailchimp or other similar platforms
  • Ability to travel
