ABOUT THE ROLE – Commissioning Engineer Electrical (Medium & Low Voltage) – Data Center

We are looking for a
Commissioning Engineer Electrical (MV/LV)
to join a new project for the construction of a
Microsoft Data Center
located in the Athens metropolitan area.

The professional will play a hands-on technical role within the commissioning team, supporting testing, functional verification, and start-up activities of Medium and Low Voltage electrical systems, ensuring compliance with Microsoft standards and international commissioning procedures.

Work location:

Athens, Greece – site located 15/20 minutes from the city center

Project duration:
12 months

Workload:
Minimum 9 hours/day

Availability:
From January 2026

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform commissioning activities on
    MV and LV electrical systems
    , including substations, transformers, switchgear, panels, UPS, PDU, and power distribution lines.
  • Conduct
    functional tests
    , electrical inspections, measurements, and performance checks according to client procedures.
  • Support
    energization activities
    and preparation for final acceptance tests.
  • Review and work with technical documentation (electrical drawings, data sheets, FAT/SAT procedures).
  • Prepare
    test reports
    , checklists, non-conformity logs, and turnover documentation.
  • Collaborate daily with the
    Commissioning Lead
    and with Electrical, Mechanical, and Automation disciplines.
  • Ensure all activities comply with technical standards, Microsoft requirements, and HSE procedures.
  • Support the execution of
    Integrated System Tests (IST)
    and the final system start-up.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in commissioning activities.
  • 5–10 years of experience
    in MV/LV electrical commissioning within data centers or mission-critical environments.
  • Strong knowledge of
    MV systems
    (substations, protection systems, transformers) and
    LV systems
    (panels, UPS, power distribution).
  • Proficiency with measurement instruments and electrical testing protocols.
  • Experience with
    FAT/SAT
    and commissioning documentation.
  • Fluency in English (international project environment).
  • Strong teamwork skills, attention to detail, analytical mindset, and hands-on approach.
