Job Description
  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and processing large datasets using frameworks like Hadoop and Spark.
  • Optimize and troubleshoot big data clusters for performance, reliability, and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain data workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow, and integrate machine learning models into production pipelines.
  • Manage distributed storage systems (e.g., HDFS) and ensure proper data retention and replication policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement best practices for scalable data infrastructure and stay updated with the latest big data technologies.
  • Monitor data pipeline health, proactively resolve issues, and maintain up-to-date documentation on data systems and architecture.
Qualifications

What would make you a fit for the role:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 6 years of experience in data engineering or big data infrastructure.
  • Proficiency with big data frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Apache Spark) and Python for distributed data processing.
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for big data solutions.
  • Strong understanding of data architecture principles and experience with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work with large-scale data systems.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
