The University of Nicosia invitesapplications for the role of Finance Officer for UNIC Athens Campus.This position plays a vital role in the daily financial operations of thecampus, including managing student financial transactions, handlinginstitutional accounts, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards andpolicies.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Financial Management:

  • Handle student registrations and managefinancial transactions, including tuition fees and scholarships.
  • Update student payment records and provide support inpayment collection efforts.
  • Communicate with students to resolve financialmatters and inquiries.

Accounting Operations:

  • Record and manage financial transactions, including payables andentries.
  • Invoice/myDATA digital bookkeeping processes and store financialdocuments. Manage bank transactions and reconciliations.
  • Handle tax and social insurance obligations per nationalregulations.
  • Record and manage university financial transactions, includingreceivables, payables, and entries.

Banking and Tax Compliance:

  • Oversee and prepare bank transactions and reconciliations. Prepare tax,insurance, and labor statutory forms. Handle tax and social insuranceobligations according to national regulations.

Reporting and System Oversight:

  • Prepare regular and ad-hoc administrative and financial reports.
  • Maintain and manage payroll and accounting systems to ensure dataaccuracy and completeness.
  • Support audit processes and produce the necessary documentation.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance,or a related field.
  • A master's degreewill be considered an additional advantage

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within aneducational institution.

Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge ofaccounting principles, including Greek Accounting Standards & IFRSs, tax regulations, and fiscal compliance practices.
  • Proficient in ERP software(e.g. SAP), with strong skills in MS Excel.
  • Fluent in both Greek andEnglish.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks undertight deadlines.
  • A collaborativeand proactive approach to team and interdepartmental work.
