We are a leading Freight Forwarding company looking for a detail-oriented and organized Account Payables Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling supplier agreements, vat exemption documentation, billing coordination, and ensuring accurate financial data entry in line with company policies and local regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain customer pricing agreements and commercial contracts.
  • Monitor the validity and proper use of exemption certificates.
  • Coordinate with operations and sales departments for agreement implementation.
  • Issue and validate customer invoices based on agreed terms and applicable exemptions.
  • Ensure accurate data entry in ERP systems regarding customer accounts and billing terms.
  • Communicate with clients regarding contract terms, invoicing, and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.
  • Support the finance team during audits or internal reviews related to agreements and exemptions.
  • Maintain organized digital and physical records of agreements and tax documents.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in accounting, billing, or contract administration (ideally in logistics, freight forwarding, or similar industry).
  • Understanding of VAT exemption processes and invoicing in the Greek market.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Epsilon Net, SoftOne) and MS Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret and manage commercial agreements.
  • Strong communication skills in English and Greek, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a freight forwarding or logistics company.
  • Knowledge of Incoterms and basic logistics processes.
  • Experience handling client billing disputes or clarifications.
