SSIS Data Migration Engineer

WINGS ICT Solutions is looking for a talented SSIS Data Migration Engineer to join our team and contribute to ongoing and upcoming data migration projects. Talent will be part of a dynamic team of professionals ranging from Project Managers and Software Architects to software developers and testers and will be using cutting edge technologies and methodologies to efficiently and effectively deliver the software.

The main responsibilities will involve:

  • Understand and apply data modeling and data integration concepts to support data migration projects.
  • Design and develop complex SQL queries using MSSQL.
  • Create and maintain SSIS packages, leveraging your working experience with MS SQL Server.
  • Utilize your C# skills in the context of SSIS to enhance package functionality.
  • Execute SSIS deployment processes.
Requirements

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience

Desired experience and skills:

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in Data Migration projects
  • Understanding of software applications' fundamental principles, communication methods, and their impact on users' experience
  • Understanding of data modeling & data integration concepts
  • Good T-SQL/SQL knowledge and working experience are mandatory
  • Working experience in MS SQL Server
  • Ability to design complex SQL queries in MSSQL
  • Working experience in design and development of SSIS packages
  • Experience with C# in the context of SSIS
  • General understanding/experience in SSIS deployment process
  • ETL experience

Desired but not mandatory:

  • Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies
  • Experience in banking/ financial industry
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence
