One of our companies is currently looking for a Business Analyst in Greece.
In this role, you will play a critical part in the acquisition and analysis of high-value external data for the Commodities team. As a Business Analyst, your key responsibilities will include gathering, analyzing, and documenting requirements for data scraping projects. These projects involve extracting valuable information from various sources such as websites, APIs, Excel files, PDFs, and more. Your work will support business units across the company and directly contribute to delivering insights that drive strategic decision-making in the commodities sector. Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand business needs and translate them into clear requirements for data scraping
- Analyze different data sources and define the best approach for extracting relevant information
- Document user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows to ensure accurate implementation
- Work closely with engineering teams to ensure seamless communication of requirements
- Prioritize and maintain a backlog of scraping tasks based on their business impact
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to data sourcing and delivery
- Ensure data is collected in compliance with data privacy regulations and ethical standards
- 1-2 years of experience in a similar business analyst or data-related role
- Familiarity with data extraction techniques, such as web scraping, and working with structured data formats like CSV, Excel, and PDFs
- Experience with HTTP, HTML, REST APIs, and file-based data formats
- Strong understanding of data privacy regulations and ethical data sourcing
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple stakeholder requests
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance competing priorities
- Team player with a collaborative approach to problem-solving across cross-functional teams
- Bonus: Experience with Python, SQL, or web scraping tools (e.g., Scrapy, BeautifulSoup)
