Job Description

As Global Category Manager Components you will have Global and company-wide responsibility for total spend of Radio Frequency (RF), Passive, Printed Cycled Board Assembley (PCB) and other components categories. You will own 20 to 50% of the cost structure of Module cost and be responsible for strategic planning, steering, and controlling of suppliers and the spend of assigned categories.

• Category strategy and roadmap of assigned category
• Component release process
• Supplier selection, supplier evaluation, supplier classification and development
• Deliver savings and optimization plans
• Development and implementation of category group and supplier strategies & targets
• Achievement of company-wide strategic goals
• Achievement of category group specific targets
• Cost savings and degree of purchasing synergies across product lines
• Achieved delivery and quality improvements
• Optimization of supply base
• By challenging and proposing cost optimized components drives Design-to-Cost process
• Operational efficiency and effectiveness of category procurement
• Controlling and reporting of the category groups

Your Qualifications, Skills, Experience, Requirements,

• Educational background in engineering or supply chain management.
• +5 years in procurement or supply chain management within the semiconductor industry.
• Strategic sourcing and procurement expertise
• Global supply chain management experience
• Familiarity with digital procurement tools
• Technical knowledge of semiconductor components
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• EU/EFTA citizen or holder of a valid work permit for Greece

• Advanced methods for strategic sourcing
• Competitor supplier and product design knowledge
• Material field specific know-how
• Benchmarking analysis
• Risk management, contract management and capacity management
• Good technical knowledge, preferably with R&D or Manufacturing
• Techniques for measuring supplier performance
• Basic economic & financial understanding to understand markets/dynamics & suppliers (P&L)
• Internal stakeholder management for companies
• Purchasing controlling and reporting

• Strategic decision making. Potential to take over strategic role and x-functional role to coordinate and drive the design-to-cost process
• Leadership: Allocates / co-ordinates work within the team/project and/or contributes to technical / professional direction for a discipline
• Proactive conflict resolution and problem solving (complex judgment based on advanced analytical thought)
