Senior Tax Advisor – Indirect Tax

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Advisor to join our Indirect Tax team. This role combines technical tax expertise, regulatory research, and client-facing consulting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Indirect Tax team on various aspects of US sales tax engagements and Environmental taxation.
  • Participate in new client onboarding process, including:
    • Completing new registrations.
  • Assisting with software implementations.
  • Creating working files; and
  • Performing parallel testing and preparing initial returns.
  • Participate in special projects, like exemption certificate collection and validation campaigns.
  • Asist in providing consulting support for new and existing waste reporting obligations, including:
    • Research and advise on new developments with existing schemes; and
  • Research, advise, and provide implementation support for completely new schemes.
  • Research various legal or regulatory requirements encountered by our clients and document findings; and
  • Prepare detailed written analysis or executive level summaries, as required.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and consulting.
  • Solid understanding of main tax concepts.
  • Proven ability to conduct regulatory research and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with client-facing consulting engagements is highly desirable.
