Operations Analyst

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Asset Management Team at Cubico Sustainable Investments as an Operations Analyst for Cubico Greece. Reporting to the Asset Manager, this role plays a key part in the day-to-day operation and optimisation of the Greek renewable energy portfolio, with responsibilities covering performance monitoring and reporting, contract management, site operations, SCADA & ICT systems oversight, data analysis, HSE compliance, and switching operations.

Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Operations Analyst will support the daily operations of the Greek renewable energy portfolio. The role focuses on operational performance monitoring and improvement, contract management, SCADA and IT systems oversight, and general asset management support.

Responsibilities and duties will include:

Operation Monitoring:

Support the Asset Management team in the operations of the Greek wind portfolio, with focus on:

• Monitoring the production and the status of the Greek wind assets
• Monitoring of asset performance to make sure the projects achieve at least the budgeted levels for key performance indicators
• Liaising with IPTO and HEDNO for communication related issues
• Contract management and daily liaising with O&M contractors
• Ensuring works are carried out with the highest standards of health and safety and with respect to the environmental protection
• Carrying out site visits as required to evaluate the assets condition
• Work closely with site managers to ensure optimal planning of resources, plant downtime and the continued asset integrity through life.

Site management:

• Day-to-day point of contact for any significant technical, organizational and administrative issue of the wind farm
• Manage and assess locally the performance of external contractors and consultants.
• Manage and monitor compliance in all contracts and activities
• Manage SPVs project documentation (technical and permitting framework)
• Monitoring of the asset through SCADA in such a way, and with such regularity, as is needed to identify problems promptly and pro-actively
• Monitoring the compliance with all applicable licenses
• Keeping and updating a Maintenance Plan for the Wind Farm and the Balance of Plant and ensure the on-time implementation
• Support HSE Department in implementing all necessary procedure
• Carry out MV/HV switching operations when needed
• Involvement in the RfQ process for material and service procurement

SCADA and ICT system monitoring and maintenance:

• Ensure the highest availability of the SCADA systems of the project
• Troubleshoot issues on SCADA systems and ICT devices to restore the remote monitoring functionality of critical systems, such as the windfarm control devices and the wind turbines.
• Keep a solid documentation of the network infrastructure of projects and archive technical issues occurred for further analysis and improvement.
• Work on a predictive maintenance manner to eliminate future communication outages.

Data Analysis:

• Collection, interpretation and presentation of data extracted from SCADA in a summarised and concise manner.
• Reporting and escalation of under-performances or technical issues to the wider asset management team
• Calculation of KPIs and support in performance valuation

Reporting & administration:

• Supporting the Asset Manager in reporting activities
• Ensuring project files are up to date and updating them as required

Commercial & financial:

• Liaising with financial team to track costs and revenues
• Familiarising with individual project contracts and track key contractual elements
• Providing support on budget and actual calculations

• Other Functional Departments especially Finance Team & Technical Team
• Other Asset Managers across Cubico
• Third party Asset Managers

Minimum Requirements

• Degree in Electrical, Network or Electronics Engineering.
• Experience or strong interest in the renewables industry and energy infrastructure.
• Excellent analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritise tasks in dynamic operational environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills in English (both written and verbal).
• Driving license and willingness to travel to site locations if required.

Desired Requirements

• Experience in wind operations.
• Power BI or similar tools.
• Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• Network engineering background
• Experience in SCADA systems and protocols
• Familiarity with networking concepts and solutions
