Role Description

This is a contract role for a Plan Approval Engineer, located on-site in Piraeus. The Plan Approval Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and approving plans and specifications for new-build and existing vessels, ensuring compliance with international maritime standards and regulations. The role involves close collaboration with shipyards, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders to ensure all technical aspects of vessel plans adhere to the highest standards. Additionally, the engineer will provide technical support during the construction and modification processes, and ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Qualifications

  • Engineering skills including Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture
  • Experience in Plan Approval, Technical Review, and Design Assessment
  • Knowledge of International Maritime Standards and Regulations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field
  • Previous experience in ship management or shipyard operations is advantageous
