Banquet Coordinator

As a Banquet Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the planning and execution of all banquet events at Conrad Athens The Ilisian. Working closely with the Banquet Manager and the culinary team, as well as other departments of the hotel. This position demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee a full spectrum of banquet events, including weddings, corporate functions, and social gatherings.
• Act as the primary liaison between the Banqueting Department and the Groups & Events Planning Team, ensuring all client expectations and special requests are fully addressed throughout the planning process and seamlessly executed on the day of the event.
• Develop and monitor detailed event timelines, collaborating with culinary, service, and technical teams to guarantee seamless execution.
• Demonstrate the ability to interpret Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) accurately and effectively communicate relevant details to the Banqueting Team.
• Oversee inventory and supplies, maintain organization and readiness for all events.
• Effectively schedule and coordinate staff in alignment with operational requirements, making necessary shift adjustments to ensure optimal service delivery..
• Maintain accurate team members records on internal platforms such as HRHub.
• Provide exceptional guest service, addressing inquiries and feedback professionally and promptly.
• Record event outcomes and client feedback to inform continuous improvement and elevate service standards.
• Participate in pre-conference meetings, site inspections, and food tastings as required. Address client requests and ensure all relevant information is clearly communicated to both the Culinary Team and Banqueting Department.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in event coordination or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
• A degree in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills to manage multiple events simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to think critically and resolve issues as they arise.
• Proficient in both Greek and English, with additional language skills appreciated.
