What you will do:

Be part of the team transforming insurance through data and technology. As an AI/ML Engineer at NN Hellas in Athens, you help create smarter processes and improved experiences for customers across Greece. Your work turns advanced AI into practical, scalable machine learning solutions at Greece's leading insurer.

Your day-to-day:

• Design, develop and deploy end-to-end AI and ML solutions, covering data ingestion, preprocessing, model training, deployment and monitoring in production environments.

• Build and optimise scalable data pipelines using Python and PySpark, ensuring high performance and maintainability on large datasets.

• Use Databricks for data engineering, experimentation and full model lifecycle management, including MLflow.

• Develop and apply machine learning models across domains such as NLP, computer vision, predictive analytics and generative AI, translating business challenges into practical solutions.

• Design and integrate LLM-based components, including embeddings, vector stores and retrieval augmented generation pipelines, while continuously monitoring and improving model performance.

Qualifications:

• Strong Python engineering skills with a focus on production-grade code, testing, and debugging.
• Proven experience delivering machine learning projects end-to-end (not just academic).
• End-to-End Hands-on experience with Databricks, including data processing, ML development, and MLflow.
• Strong understanding of ML fundamentals: feature engineering, experimentation, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Experience with PySpark or other distributed computing frameworks to manage large datasets effectively.
• Knowledge of Large Language Models, including embeddings, vector databases, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and fine-tuning.Knowledge of MLOps practices (CI/CD for models, model registry, tracking).
• MLOps Practices: Understanding of MLOps principles (CI/CD for models, model registry, tracking) to streamline model deployment and management.
• Cloud Platform Experience: Experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure, for deploying and managing AI/ML solutions.
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively.
• Ownership Mindset: A proactive approach to taking full responsibility for the entire project lifecycle.
• Soft Skills: Strong teamwork, adaptability, and problem-solving abilities are essential for success in this role.
