About the Role

We are seeking a
Data Engineer
with mid-level experience to join our growing data team. The successful candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining
data pipelines
, ensuring
data quality and availability
, and supporting analytics and machine learning workflows.

The role requires strong knowledge of
SQL, data modeling, and Python-based ETL workflows
, combined with experience in cloud environments. You will work closely with software engineers, analysts, and data scientists to ensure reliable, scalable, and secure data operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain
    ETL/ELT pipelines
    for structured and unstructured data
  • Develop and optimize
    data models in relational databases
    (primarily SQL Server)
  • Work with
    Azure cloud services
    (e.g., Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL Database, Storage)
  • Build and maintain integrations with external APIs and data sources
  • Monitor, test, and ensure the quality, security, and integrity of data flows
  • Collaborate with analysts and data scientists to prepare datasets for reporting and ML models
  • Automate data workflows using Python and scripting tools
  • Document data architecture, processes, and best practices

Required Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of professional experience in data engineering or related roles
  • Strong knowledge of
    SQL
    and experience with relational databases (preferably
    SQL Server
    )
  • Hands-on experience with
    Python
    for data processing (Pandas, PySpark or similar)
  • Experience with
    ETL/ELT development
    and orchestration
  • Familiarity with
    Azure data services
    (Data Factory, Data Lake, etc.)
  • Understanding of
    data warehousing concepts
    and best practices
  • Knowledge of
    data quality, governance, and security principles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with
    message queues
    (e.g., RabbitMQ)
  • Exposure to
    machine learning workflows
    (e.g., ML pipelines, feature stores)
  • Knowledge of
    GDPR compliance
    and data protection practices
  • Experience with
    data visualization tools
    (Power BI, Grafana, etc.)
