Engineering Assistant

Immediate full-time permanent position. A U.S.-based company with a recently established office in Athens and a fabrication shop in Aspropirgos, Greece is seeking an Engineering Administrative Assistant. Fabrication Designs is a manufacturer of specialized building façade systems for use in high security building applications such as U.S. Embassy Facilities worldwide.

The ideal candidate will able to multi-task effectively in a very fast-paced work environment under the supervision of the Plant Manager in Marathon and in remote coordination with the Operation Team in Athens office.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in maintaining Inventory & Asset of
  Aspropirgos
  shop
• Performing Quality assurance on the steel and/or aluminum material before shipment to the client.
• Handling (upon training) milling machine
• In charge of Warehouse Receiving Process Checklists
• Preparing and filing shipping documents, packing lists, photos, invoices and hiring documents
• Be in contact with all levels of engineers and project administrators vendors and purchasing agents
• Word processing (creating shipping documents, packing lists)
• Oversight of office supplies
• Assisting engineering staff in the office with the preparation of technical reports

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering
• Experience or understanding of the construction or manufacturing industry is a plus.
• Knowledge of 2D + 3D programs
• Experience with administrative and clerical work Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
• Strong communication skills
• Strong ability to multitask
• Friendly and upbeat demeanor
• Ability to work in fast paced environment
