You will join the project team of one of Cegeka's customers in the insurance sector. The customer is collaborating with Cegeka to integrate its IT landscape using Azure Integration Services (such as API Management, Logic Apps, Function Apps, and more).

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend integrations using Java.
  • Build and optimize data integration pipelines in Azure Data Factory.
  • Integrate APIs, external data sources, and backend systems into ADF workflows.
  • Collaborate with data engineers and cloud architects to design robust ETL/ELT solutions.
  • Implement secure, scalable, and well-documented integration solutions.
  • Participate in code reviews, CI/CD workflows, and Agile ceremonies.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience in Java / Spring Cloud development (backend focus).
  • Hands-on experience with REST APIs, JSON, and backend integration patterns.
  • Familiarity with Azure Data Factory (experience with data pipelines and connectors a strong plus, but motivation to learn is key).
  • Knowledge of relational databases and proficiency in SQL.
  • Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
  • Solid understanding of cloud security practices.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with Azure services such as Azure Storage, Azure SQL Database, Key Vault, or Azure Functions.
  • Exposure to data engineering tools like Databricks, Synapse Analytics, or Power BI.
  • Knowledge of message queues (Kafka, Service Bus, RabbitMQ).
  • Microsoft Azure certification (e.g., DP-203, AZ-900, AZ-104).
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments using tools like JIRA or Confluence.
