Junior Software Engineer (Java/Spring Boot)
. The successful candidates will work in a multicultural environment supporting our core business in large Information Systems for the European Commission. What you will do

  • Assist in the design, development, and maintenance of Spring Boot applications;
  • Support the team in building microservices architecture;
  • Write clean, maintainable code under the guidance of senior engineers;
  • Contribute to technical documentation;
  • Create and execute unit tests (JUnit);
  • Learn how to deploy and configure applications in cloud or on-prem environments.

What is your experience

  • BSc's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or any other relevant field;
  • At least 1 year of experience in Java Spring
  • Solid understanding of Java (object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms);
  • Some exposure to Spring or Spring Boot (university, internships, or personal projects);
  • Excellent command of English language, both written and spoken.

Exposure in the following will be considered as an asset:

  • Cloud & DevOps: AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda), Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD (Git, Jenkins);
  • Databases: Relational and Non-Relational.
