Commis Pastry Chef
to join the
Avali
hotel team for

Corfu

  • Assist the Pastry Chef in preparing and baking desserts, pastries, breads, and other baked goods
  • Follow recipes and presentation standards to ensure consistency in quality and taste
  • Prepare ingredients and equipment for daily service, including scaling, measuring, and mixing
  • Ensure the kitchen and workstations are clean and well-maintained, following health and safety regulations
  • Assist with inventory control and stock rotation to maintain freshness of products
  • Learn and apply the techniques used by the Pastry Chef to contribute to the creativity and innovation of new desserts
  • Communicate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely preparation
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of pastry techniques and baking processes
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and work within a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for pastry arts
  • Creative and eager to learn new skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative
  • A diploma or certificate in pastry arts or culinary studies is advantageous
