Project Coordinator/Engineer

Ogenus Offshore, on behalf of our client, is seeking a motivated Project Engineer.

The role will involve both:

Onshore (Office-based): Supporting project planning, budgeting, documentation, and coordination.

Offshore (On vessel): Getting hands-on with the plough during its delivery, integration, commissioning, maintenance, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Office-Based (Onshore):

Assist in planning and coordination for delivery, integration, and certification of the new subsea plough.

Support budgeting, scheduling, vendor communication, and technical documentation.

Participate in project execution planning for subsea plough operations within company's projects.

Maintain records for asset management, maintenance schedules, and operational performance.

Offshore-Based (On Vessel):

Participate in installation, commissioning, and operational testing of the plough on the vessel.

Assist in plough deployment, recovery, maintenance, and operational monitoring during projects.

Work closely with experienced offshore crews to learn subsea plough operations and troubleshooting.

Act as a link between vessel activities and the office project team.

Operate subsea plows during simultaneous lay and trench campaigns.

Assist with deployment, recovery, and in-operation control of plow systems.

Monitor trenching parameters (depth, pressure, performance) and adjust settings as required.

Conduct equipment checks, preventative maintenance, and basic fault troubleshooting.

Ensure all safety, technical, and procedural documentation is completed accurately.

Engage fully with the plow team and wider offshore crew during operations.

Requirements:

Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Marine, Mechatronics, or related discipline).

Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role in construction, offshore or similar field.

Strong technical interest with willingness to learn hands-on mechanical and hydraulic systems.

Ability to adapt to both office and offshore environments.

Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Valid passport and willingness to obtain offshore certification and medical.

Availability to travel offshore
