Lead QA Automation Engineer
to join our team in
Athens
on a full-time basis as of now.

What you will be doing

• You are part of an agile, cross-functional squad consisting of frontend, mobile and backend developers, designers and product owners, contributing to delivering high-quality software applications.
• You take part in our ceremonies and are actively involved in understanding our user stories, acceptance criteria and tasks.
• You oversee the design, development and optimization of our QA systems and the testing pyramid, ensuring seamless support for our three tech squads.
• You conduct architectural reviews and drive the implementation of new QA initiatives in order to establish a scalable and secure QA environment.
• You foster a collaborative and inclusive environment where team members grow professionally.
• You use agile leadership methods to guide your QA automation engineers as a servant leader in achieving continuous and sustainable optimization.
• You perform functional, regression, performance and security tests in order to enhance the stability and reliability of our applications.
• You are responsible for the development, maintenance and execution of automated test scripts for mobile and web applications using industry-standard test frameworks and tools.
• You identify, analyze and report software errors and inconsistencies and collaborate closely with your team to resolve them.
• You ensure the stability of automated test results, system health and performance by quickly identifying issues and providing actionable insights to enhance workflows for mobile and web app testing.

Your qualification

• You have several years of hands-on QA automation experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, managing and mentoring teams in agile environments.
• You bring deep expertise in Appium, Playwright, WebdriverIO and TypeScript paired with a strong understanding of Behavior-Driven Development with Cucumber.
• You have a strong understanding of software architectures across frontend, backend and mobile environments and bring sound experience in conducting technical reviews to optimize QA processes and frameworks.
• You are able to design and implement scalable, modular and maintainable test architectures following the principles of the testing pyramid.
• You rely on data to inform your decisions and prioritize quality and diligence in your work.
• You thrive in cross-functional teams, have a strong understanding of agile principles and Scrum and know how to use them to lead a productive team.
• You are able to technically lead and coach our QA automation engineers, establish best practices, develop the team and foster a sense of ownership in each individual.
• You embrace new challenges, are eager to learn and are not afraid to explore emerging technologies to improve our technical environment.
• Language skills: You are business fluent in Greek and English.
