We're looking for a Security Operations Center (SOC) Manager to join our European client in their Athens Information Security Office. In this role, you'll lead a talented security operations team, overseeing day-to-day activities and ensuring they can detect, respond to, and prevent cybersecurity threats.

This is a senior position where you'll play a vital role in keeping the IT landscape secure, shaping security requirements for new projects, and ensuring systems follow the highest industry standards. You'll work closely with other IT teams across Europe, senior management, and external partners to make sure security remains strong.

Tasks
  • Manage SOC operations, tools, and performance (SIEM, WAF, NAC).
  • Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents.
  • Lead incident response and coordinate with IT teams.
  • Define security requirements for new products and services.
  • Run security tests (red team/blue team exercises).
  • Evaluate new technologies and improve SOC processes.
  • Report on KPIs, risks, and security posture to management.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar SOC leadership role (international or financial sector is a plus).
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar.
  • Strong knowledge of SIEM, IOCs, web app firewalls, and DB security.
  • Preferred certifications: CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Excellent English communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and crisis management skills.
