NETSTEPS, a leading digital commerce agency in Greece, is looking for a
Mid-level Backend Developer
with strong experience in Laravel or CodeIgniter and a solid understanding of API-driven architectures.

In this role, you will work on
large-scale e-commerce and integration projects
connecting platforms such as Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce, ERP systems, CRM tools and various 3rd-party services.

What we are looking for

  • 2–4 years of experience
    in backend development.
  • Strong knowledge of
    PHP 8+
    ,
    Laravel
    and/or
    CodeIgniter
    .
  • Experience in
    RESTful API design & implementation
    .
  • Good understanding of
    MySQL
    , relational database design and query optimization.
  • Familiarity with
    Git
    and modern development workflows.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • A "Vibe Coding" mindset
    — meaning:
  • thinking beyond a single framework or language,
  • being comfortable exploring different stacks and ecosystems,
  • understanding how multiple systems connect and interact,
  • writing code that feels clean, modern and enjoyable for the next developer,
  • being curious, adaptable and eager to solve problems creatively.

Nice to have

  • Experience with
    e-commerce platforms
    (Shopify, Magento, WooCommerce).
  • Knowledge of
    queue systems
    , cron jobs, webhooks and asynchronous processing.
  • Experience with
    ERP integrations
    (SoftOne, Entersoft, Atlantis, etc.).
  • Basic understanding of Docker or containerization.
