We are looking for an Assistant Accountant
to join our Head Office team in Athens for 1 year employment contract.

The successful candidate should have:

Qualifications:

  • University Degree in Shipping/Economics/Finance/Accounting /Business Management related field

Desirable Knowledge & Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting issues.
  • Administrative, organisational skills.
  • Teamworker with an ability to build good working relationships.
  • Agile Learner with a Growth Mindset.
  • Very good knowledge of the English language, supported by evidence of relevant professional experience and/or a first certificate of proficiency in the English language as a minimum.
  • Microsoft Office Suite knowledge.

Professional experience:

  • Experience in a similar position will be considered as an asset.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promotion of Company's Vision, Mission, Values and Behaviours both internally and externally.
  • Recording invoices and payments. Preparing payments to foreign and local suppliers.
  • Communicating with creditors orally and in writing.
  • Ensuring that entries are made into the accounting software accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Providing any required assistance to the Accounting Manager and the Accountants.
