Senior Technical Consultant – Banking & Treasury Applications


Hybrid Athens (4 office/1 home) | Salary starts from €3,000 gross monthly * 14 salaries

We are seeking an experienced and motivated
Senior Technical Consultant
to join our fast-growing team. This role focuses on delivering high-quality development, enhancement, and support services for banking treasury applications in a dynamic, multinational environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems with strong availability and performance.
  • Contribute across all phases of the development lifecycle.
  • Propose and implement solutions to anticipated technical challenges.
  • Conduct testing to ensure smooth program operation.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for developed modules.
  • Research and evaluate alternative technologies for continuous improvement and architectural review.
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and debug defects in application code.

Qualifications & Skills

  • BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong professional experience in
    Java
    and
    SQL / PL SQL / T-SQL
    programming.
  • Solid understanding of
    relational databases
    (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
  • Experience with complex data models, software integration, and delivery.
  • Familiarity with data migration procedures, custom reports, and reconciliation processes.
  • Knowledge of tools for profiling server resource usage and optimization.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to interpret product specifications and deliver effective solutions.
  • Team-oriented mindset with collaborative working style.
  • Experience in the
    financial sector
    is a strong plus.
