Senior Software in Test Engineer | Hybrid in Athens

The Role:

  • We are looking for a Software Engineer who writes code for testing to asses software quality. You will assist in finding, organizing and documenting bugs and defects and you will primarily focus on automation. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products , application and systems work correctly.

Responsibilities:

  • System Analysis & Test Strategy:
    Dissect complex software systems and architect comprehensive testing strategies.
  • Collaborative Testing:
    Partner with software engineers to develop robust test plans aligned with product goals.
  • Test Case Mastery:
    Craft efficient and deterministic test scenarios to uncover defects.
  • Automation Champion:
    Build and maintain automated tests for both frontend and backend applications.
  • Test Execution & Analysis:
    Execute test cases, analyze results, and pinpoint issues with precision.
  • Defect Reporting:
    Clearly communicate identified bugs and errors to development teams, providing actionable insights (screenshots, logs, etc.).
  • CI/CD Integration:
    Ensure quality gates are in place within CI/CD pipelines.
  • Quality Advocate:
    Promote quality throughout the entire software development lifecycle.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong foundation in object-oriented or functional programming
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and UNIX-like environments
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities
  • Experience with Git and other version control systems
  • A deep understanding of the testing pyramid and shift-left testing principles
  • Working knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, CircleCI, etc.)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
