Job Description

As a Contract Specialist based in our office in Athens, Greece, you will work as part of a small team reporting to our Physical Operations Contracts and Settlements Manager. Working within a physical commodity trading environment, your main areas of focus will be:

Job Responsibilities

  • Performing internal systems validations and checks
  • Issuing sales contracts across multiple commodities
  • Managing subsequent documentation & amendment as and if necessary in a timely and qualitative manner
  • Assessing and responding in a timely manner to counterparty contracts across multiple commodities
  • Liaising with different departments within the organisation to support the contract handling.
  • Productively interacting with third parties in order to collect all relevant information and produce consistent documentation and/or comments

Skills

  • At least 2 years commodity trading contract handling experience, preferably within a dedicated contract department, and/or legal and/or operations.
  • A good understanding of physical trading operations: e.g. delivery methods, quality & quantity determination, laytime & demurrage etc.
  • Experience with oil products essential, fuel oil speciality a plus.
