SYNTAX IT Group is seeking a talented and motivated Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Specialist, on behalf of a European Financial Institution for their office in Athens.


The Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Specialist will play a key role in ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery readiness, providing consultancy and support across functions to strengthen organizational resilience.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) initiatives and frameworks.
  • Perform and update Business Impact Analysis (BIA) activities.
  • Develop, maintain, and update Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and related methodologies.
  • Provide consultancy to internal functions on BCM-related topics.
  • Coordinate Disaster Recovery (DR) testing activities — scheduling, test plan definition, execution participation, and reporting.
  • Coordinate periodic reviews and updates of Disaster Recovery plans in collaboration with relevant teams.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Security or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery.
  • Strong technical background and project management skills.
  • Excellent command of Greek (spoken and written) and English.

  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
