Costamare Shipping is one of the world's leading owners and providers of containerships and bulk carriers for charter. Costamare is seeking a candidate with a positive attitude and technical competence to join the company's software team.

What you'll do:

As a Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications and web services that support critical business operations. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle to ensure reliable, secure, efficient, and maintainable systems.

More specifically you will:


• Design, develop, and maintain robust and high-performance Java applications.


• Build, manage, and consume RESTful APIs, integrating with front-end systems and third-party applications.


• Develop and optimize SQL queries, design efficient schemas, and manage database interactions.


• Design, develop, and maintain system integrations and data flows across platforms.


• Diagnose and resolve technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to production systems.


• Work with modern development tools and stay up to date with the latest trends, tools, and best practices in software engineering.

Who you are:


• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.


• 3–5 years of experience in Java development.


• Proficient with modern IDEs (Eclipse, IntelliJ) and Git.


• Strong SQL skills; experience with MS SQL Server and MySQL.


• Experience with Azure services (App Service, Blob Storage, AKS) and cloud-native databases (Azure SQL MI).


• Familiar with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in both Greek & English.
