Role Description

Lingua Learn Greece requires a Part-Time Greek Teacher based in Athens, Greece to teach Greek to adults/children and corporate clients, ranging in levels from complete beginners to advanced (CEFR A1 to C1).

The successful candidate must be educated to a degree with an accredited teaching qualification and a minimum of 5 years of experience teaching Greek as a foreign language. Furthermore, the candidate must be experienced in assessing students' language proficiency in all 4 skills (Listening, Reading, Writing, and Speaking), preferably using CEFR Levels as a reference. As the lessons will be delivered in English, the ability to communicate in English at least at the B2 Level is required.

The Greek Tutor will be responsible for providing language instruction to individuals and groups, developing tailored lesson plans, and assessing students' progress. This role involves providing training sessions both within face-to-face (Live) training sessions in Athens and surrounding areas, as well as remote teaching from home. Tutors will create engaging learning environments, conduct virtual lessons, and ensure students achieve their language goals.

Requirements for the Role:

  • Based in Athens, Greece
  • Fluency in Greek and proficiency in teaching Greek as a second language
  • Educated to a degree level
  • Teaching qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of teaching experience
  • Experience in assessing students in all 4 skills of proficiency in alignment with CEFR standards
  • Ability to develop and tailor lesson plans to individual student needs
  • Able to teach face-to-face classes in Athens, Greece and surrounding areas
  • Experience in virtual teaching and using online learning platforms (especially Zoom)
  • Reliable internet connection
