Role
EPE SA is seeking a motivated IHM Technical Support Engineer to join its dynamic team in Piraeus.
The successful candidate will play a key role in the development, maintenance, and compliance management of Ships' Inventories of Hazardous Materials (IHM), ensuring alignment with international maritime regulations and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Collaborating with IHM team to ensure effective project execution.
- Reviewing of vessel's technical documentation, including certificates, manuals, plans, and specifications.
- Preparation of Visual Sampling Check Plan (VSCP)
- Developing IHM Part I, II & III and associated documentation.
- Conducting onboard inspections and sampling of hazardous materials.
- Liaising with global suppliers to gather and review Material Declarations (MDs) and Suppliers Declarations of Conformity (SDoCs) as part of IHM maintenance.
- Coordinating with shipowners', managers', purchasing, and technical departments for IHM maintenance
- Coordinating with laboratories for bulk and water sample analysis
- Preparing Material Declarations (MDs) and SDoCs on behalf of EPE SA.
- Supporting the IHM Department in daily operations.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Marine, or a related field.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
