We are looking for a skilled Senior Liferay Software Engineer with strong technical expertise in Liferay architecture, both on-premise and in cloud environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality solutions, leading the delivery of key platform features, and occasionally guiding external development teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build secure, reliable, and scalable solutions using the Liferay Digital Experience Platform (DXP).
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, plan, and deliver new features that align with business needs.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to external or internal developers, ensuring consistent coding standards and best practices.
  • Participate in architectural design discussions and contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform.
  • Ensure smooth deployment, integration, and performance optimization across environments.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Liferay DXP (version 7.x), including portal development, customization, and integrations.
  • In-depth understanding of Liferay's modular architecture (OSGi), Service Builder, theming, and permission mechanisms.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining Liferay in both cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and on-premise infrastructures.
  • Strong programming background in Java (8–21+), with knowledge of both legacy and modern Java features.
  • Familiarity with frontend technologies used within Liferay, such as JSP, AlloyUI, React, or similar JavaScript frameworks.
  • Practical experience with frameworks and tools such as Spring, Hibernate, REST APIs, Elasticsearch, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Good understanding of Liferay administration, including configuration, user and role management, and performance monitoring.
  • Experience developing and maintaining large-scale, customer-facing, and high-performance systems.
  • Commitment to clean, maintainable, and high-quality code following modern software engineering principles.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a proven ability to work effectively in agile environments.
