Presales Engineer (Public Sector Projects / Smart Cities)

Position Overview:

On behalf of our client, an innovative and leading company in the field of smart city design, we are seeking a dynamic and technically skilled Presales Engineer with proven experience in public sector projects, ideally within the Smart Cities domain. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the sales team by delivering tailored technical documentation, solution proposals, and strategic input throughout the presales process, up to contract signature.

What you will do:

  • Analyze technical requirements of public sector tenders, with a focus on smart city infrastructure projects.
  • Support the bidding team with technical presentations, product demos, and customized solution proposals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (R&D, development, implementation) and external vendors to ensure solution alignment and feasibility.
  • Prepare detailed technical documentation, specifications, and commercial offers.
  • Develop Proof of Concept (PoC) and pilot applications where required.
  • Stay informed on smart city technology trends and proactively integrate innovative solutions into proposals.

What you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Computer Science, Electrical, Telecommunications, or a related field).
  • Minimum of 2 years of presales experience in public sector projects, preferably involving smart city or digital transformation solutions.
  • Solid understanding of IoT technologies, sensor networks, cloud platforms, and smart city ecosystems.
  • Ability to interpret client needs and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency
    in both written and spoken
    English and Greek.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a focus on results and innovation.
