How you will contribute to EveryPay's vision:
We are growing our Operations team and we are looking for a talented
Senior KYC Analyst

What you will be doing:

• Monitor the end-to-end client onboarding process, ensuring all KYC/AML requirements are met and escalating risk items when necessary
• Maintain comprehensive and compliant KYC records for all EVP customers, identifying and addressing any gaps
• Identify issues related to production, policy changes, or system limitations, and propose actionable solutions to the Onboarding Manager
• Screen all clients at onboarding against sanction lists, internal blacklists, and PEP databases to mitigate risk
• Provide guidance and mentorship to the KYC team on complex cases, promoting high compliance standards
• Follow up on AML alerts, documenting actions taken to resolve identified issues effectively
• Collaborate continuously with team members and stakeholders to achieve objectives and resolve operational challenges
• Take ownership of proposed courses of action and ensure timely escalation of identified risks and blockers to the Onboarding Manager
• Develop a deep understanding of KYC operations and act as a subject matter expert to support and advise the team
• Lead complex investigations and provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and risk mitigation

What will you need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in law, Finance, Business, or a related field. Certifications such as CAMS, ICA, or equivalent are preferred
• Proven 3-5 years of experience in KYC, AML, or financial crime compliance, preferably in payment services, fintech, or banking with a focus on KYC/Due Diligence field, EDD, AML, and Compliance
• Knowledge of performing client onboarding screening in any of the 25 EEA countries, with particular experience in: Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Slovenia, and France
• CAMS, ICA, or equivalent AML/KYC certifications are highly desirable
• Fluent in Greek and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and manage financial crime risks
• Embrace continuous changes and challenges; handle various initiatives and ad-hoc projects as assigned by Onboarding Manager
• Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to perform under pressure
• Strong knowledge of regulatory reporting and risk assessment in the payments or fintech sector
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize tasks and multiple projects simultaneously in order to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for reporting and stakeholder management
• Problem-solving mindset, with the ability to manage complex cases efficiently
• A collaborative and reliable team player
