Consolidation &IFRS Assistant Accountant

Based @ Golden Hall offices

We are seeking a highly motivated Consolidation and IFRS Assistant Accountant to join our Consolidation &IFRS team. Our new colleague in this position will actively participate in the quarterly Group consolidation process, shall work on reconciliations and prepare financial statements in compliance with IFRS.

Our new colleague shall be reporting to the Consolidation and IFRS Manager.

In detail, our new colleague in this position, will:

  • Support the preparation of the quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Prepare annual standalone financial statements in compliance with IFRS for Group subsidiaries.
  • Work on performing IFRS adjustments/entries, preparing consolidation and/or IFRS treatment memorandums.
  • Provide variance analyses and commentary on balance sheet and income statement changes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Administer, develop and improve the accuracy of consolidation tools, develop and implement best practice processes and systems in coordination with the senior members of the team.
  • Contribute to internal and external audits providing requested supporting documentation and reporting related to the consolidation process.

You will be a successful candidate for our job opening, if you can identify yourself with the following:

Academic Qualifications:

  • BSc in Business Administration / Accounting and Finance or in a relevant area of study.
  • A professional qualification such as ACA/ACCA/IFRS (or in progress), would be highly valued.
  • Good knowledge of IFRS &Greek GAAP.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data query and financial tools.
  • Excellent command of the English language.

Professional Experience:

  • 1-3 years of relevant professional experience, in financial controlling or Accounting Dept, ideally in auditing &consulting companies, or alternatively in construction, real estate industries
  • Experience in accounting procedures and financial reporting practices.
  • Good professional experience on financial systems (ideally SAP/BW/Oracle Hyperion).
