The Role

The Account & Services team is responsible for core functions that define the user journey, such as registration, verification, payments, and profile management. The role of Product Specialist (Account Verification) is a vital part of this team, focusing on the critical balance between seamless user onboarding and strict regulatory compliance.

We are looking for someone for a 1-year fixed-term contract who can navigate the complexities of Identity Verification (KYC). You will work closely with our product, compliance, and risk teams to build a verification process that is secure, compliant, and as frictionless as possible. Your goal is to automate and optimize the way we verify millions of customers across the globe, ensuring they can enjoy our products safely and quickly.

As a Product Specialist in Account Verification, you will:
  • Conduct research on global verification trends, competitor flows, and third-party KYC vendors. Stay updated on regulatory requirements in new and existing markets (e.g.  Brazil, Ontario, Europe).
  • Work with Business Intelligence and Risk teams to monitor verification success rates, drop-off points, and average time-to-verify. Use this data to propose flow improvements.
  • Identify customer pain points during the document upload and identity check process.
  • Promote product optimizations that reduce friction while maintaining high security standards.
  • Gather requirements for market launches and regulatory updates. Create detailed Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) for new verification features, automations, and third-party integrations.
  • Collaborate closely with Compliance, Legal, and Fraud/Risk teams to ensure the product meets all legal obligations without compromising the user experience.
  • Maintain relationships with all existing KYC providers.
  • Manage new provider onboarding, from sourcing to introduction and then to contract signing, including internal alignments needed with Finance/Compliance/Legal.
  • Work with Product Managers and Product Owners to prioritize new integrations with providers and related updates.
  • Research suppliers in new markets of strategic interest to the business.
Requirements

A great candidate for this role aspires to work in a fast-paced product environment and is eager to solve complex problems regarding digital identity and trust.

More specifically, we are looking for a professional with:

  • At least 2 years in product analysis, business analysis, or a related role within a consumer internet business (Fintech, Banking, or Gaming experience is a strong plus).
  • Demonstrated experience in process optimization and translating complex regulatory or technical requirements into clear user stories and product specifications.
  • Familiarity with KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or digital identity verification processes is highly desirable.
  • Experience working closely with technology teams, with a good understanding of APIs and third-party integrations.
  • Keen attention to detail—you understand that in verification, small details matter for compliance and security.
  • Expert-level organization and communication skills to bridge the gap between Legal/Compliance and Tech teams.
